Shortly after getting off the ski bus you enter the chalet at street level and can leave your equipment in the heated ski room before heading
through in to the bar. Freshly baked cake and hot drinks await you in the lounge but if you fancy something stronger you certainly wouldn’t be the
first person to get distracted by the bar! If our staff are not around you can still enjoy a cold beer – just help yourself and mark it up on the
honesty bar tally sheet!
The first floor lounge area is the best place to warm up after a day in the snow and with plenty of soft seating, a big open fire and unlimited
tea and coffee it is easy to see why a lot of people struggle to get any further! With a good collection of movies available you could always enjoy
some TV before dinner or why not share photos of your exploits with jealous friends back home using our free WiFi! If your muscles are aching there
is always plenty of time before dinner to pop back downstairs to the 8 man sauna, or make your way out in to the snow and enjoy the spectacular views
of the valley of the slate mines from the comfort of the 7 man hot tub. As darkness falls the lights of the piste bashers can be seen in Avoriaz,
Morzine and Les Gets, preparing our slopes for another epic day!
However you choose to relax after the ski day your peace won’t be disturbed as chef prepares a delicious 3 course evening meal in the detached
kitchen. When dinner time arrives the 6 tables in the cosy dining room can be arranged in various ways to suit the groups in the chalet. Most guests
struggle to go too far after a 3 course meal but if you fancy a nightcap the bar is only a set of stairs away! For those with a bit more energy why
not take a stroll down to the old town of Morzine, just 10 – 12 minutes away on foot.
Since its construction in the early 1980s the owner of Chalet Thalassa has carefully improved the chalet to provide a charming, homely and yet
extremely practical space in which to host visitors. The budget bedrooms that share WC and shower facilities are every bit as charming as those with
ensuites, but we have kept the price lower on those in order to help people on a tight budget. We also have a couple of good family options with an
ensuite quad room or two bedrooms on the first floor that can be locked off to form a family suite. With prices starting from just £450 for a
catered week it is no surprise that this chalet books up so fast! Short breaks are also available from just £70 per night so get in touch soon to
book your space!
