Returning for Winter 2025/26! 
In September 2024 we were suddenly alerted to the fact that we were not going to be able to operate this chalet for the coming winter season. The spate of bad weather across the alps and a mudslide left the ground floor completely ruined, and we have had to act fast to source a replacement chalet. We are delighted to have pulled a rabbit out of the hat with Chalet Le Prele and no holidays need to be cancelled. For those regular visitors to Chalet Chery rest assured that the insurance-funded work has already begun, and the owners have even taken the opportunity to remodel the ground floor to be an even nicer, more user friendly space. 
A firm favourite with visitors for well over a decade, Chalet Chery has a perfect blend of alpine charm with modern facilities, spacious rooms yet with a cosy feel, and an ideal location for exploring the vast Portes du Soleil. We are already looking forward to reopening the doors to guests in December 2025.

Chalet Chery des Meuniers | Description

When we first visited this beautiful property in 2009 as a recently constructed chalet we knew that it was a winner. In the years that followed it quickly became, and remains to this day, our most popular chalet, achieving almost 100% occupancy every season. We attribute the popularity of Chery des Meuniers to the perfect blend of quality modern fittings with the traditional Alpine setting that we all look for in a chalet holiday. Space is a big feature of this chalet, both inside with its open plan design and family sized bedrooms, and outside as it sits in its own grounds next to the river in the former slate mining hamlet of Les Meuniers with far-reaching views including Mont Chery (making sense of the name of the chalet!).

With convenient links to the skiing on both sides of the valley (Avoriaz and Morzine), tranquil surroundings and at a walkable distance from the old town this chalet is perfect for everyone from beginners to powder hounds and from lovers of peace and quiet to party animals! Guests on our Ski Gathering trips are afforded plenty of space as our numbers are capped at 12 in a chalet that previously slept 16 in 5 bedrooms.

The ski bus that stops at the end of the driveway will whisk you home from the slopes of Morzine or Avoriaz in 5 minutes and once you've dropped off your skis in the ground floor boot room our delicious homemade cakes await you upstairs. Alternatively, you could change shoes and head straight back out to sample the awesome apres ski scene in Morzine town! The suntrap terrace overlooking the river is the perfect spot for others to enjoy a cold beer from our honesty bar whilst taking in the spectacular views of some of the highest peaks of the Chablais region. A recently added sauna is ideal for soothing those aching limbs!

The owner of the chalet is a real craftsman and no expense has been spared on a beautiful interior that includes several bespoke pieces of furniture. As the exertions of the day catch up with you, the soothing effect of the magnificent log-burning stove will do nothing to fend off the temptation to have a nap whilst our Chalet Cook prepares a delicious 4 course evening meal! The top floor of the chalet contains a second small seating area, making it the ideal spot to read a book, catch up with some work courtesy of our free WiFi internet access, or to simply chill out before catching up with other guests to swap stories about the ski day!

All five bedrooms boast traditional Savoyard decor to give a perfect blend of homeliness, cosiness and ensuite facilities (either in the form of a traditional bathroom or a cabin-style wet room with showers). The bedrooms are spread over all three floors of the chalet and in stark contrast to most recently constructed chalets they are all exceptionally spacious. The larger rooms still contain only full size single beds and with bedside tables for everyone. When sharing these larger rooms nobody needs worry about bunks, sofa beds or pull-out beds! We understand how important personal space is and the need for a comfortable night's sleep in order to make the most of the next day.

Our menus are designed by Sylvie and Consultant Chef Danny to bring a blend of uplifted classics, Belgian culinary treats and traditional Savoyard fare. To complete our winning formula we add tasty breakfast specials, homemade cakes and free-flowing wine!
