Chalet Chery has a perfect blend of alpine charm with modern facilities, spacious rooms yet with a cosy feel, and an ideal location for exploring the vast Portes du Soleil. A firm favourite with visitors for over 15 years and, after a brief hiatus in 2024/25 for renovation, Chalet Chery is back as our primary base for The Ski Gathering in Morzine. 
                This coming winter it will once again play host to our classic catered weeks and short breaks for solo and sociable travellers.
Outside of these times it is offered for up to 17 people on a self-catered basis or with the flexibility of meal deliveries to suit you!

Chalet Chery des Meuniers | Description

When we first visited this beautiful property in 2009 as a recently constructed chalet we knew that it was a winner. In the years that followed it quickly became, and remains to this day, our most popular chalet, achieving almost 100% occupancy every season. We attribute the popularity of Chery des Meuniers to the perfect blend of quality modern fittings with the traditional Alpine setting that we all look for in a chalet holiday. Space is a big feature of this chalet, both inside with its open plan design and family sized bedrooms, and outside as it sits in its own grounds next to the river in the former slate mining hamlet of Les Meuniers with far-reaching views including Mont Chery (making sense of the name of the chalet!).

With convenient links to the skiing on both sides of the valley (Avoriaz and Morzine), tranquil surroundings and at a walkable distance from the old town this chalet is perfect for everyone from beginners to powder hounds and from lovers of peace and quiet to party animals! Guests on our Ski Gathering trips are afforded plenty of space as our numbers are capped at 13 in a chalet that ordinarily sleeps 17 in 6 bedrooms.

The ski bus that stops at the end of the driveway will whisk you home from the slopes of Morzine or Avoriaz in 5 minutes and once you've dropped off your skis in the ground floor boot room a large and convivial lounge / dining area awaits upstairs - perfect for afternoon tea with a slice of cake! If you are staying on one of our catered holidays our team will most likely be beavering away in the kitchen and will always be happy to hear about your adventures. Alternatively, you could change shoes and head straight back out to sample the awesome apres ski scene in Morzine town!

The suntrap terrace overlooking the river is the perfect spot for others to enjoy a cold beer from our honesty bar whilst taking in the spectacular views of some of the highest peaks of the Chablais region. A recently added sauna is ideal for soothing those aching limbs! The owner of the chalet is a real craftsman and no expense has been spared on a beautiful interior that includes several bespoke pieces of furniture. As the exertions of the day catch up with you, the soothing effect of the magnificent fire will do nothing to fend off the temptation to have a nap!

All six bedrooms boast traditional Savoyard decor to give a perfect blend of homeliness and cosiness. Four of them benefit from ensuite facilities (either in the form of a traditional bathroom or a cabin-style wet room with showers) whilst the two remaining rooms have access to a shower and 2 WCs. The bedrooms are spread over all three floors of the chalet and in stark contrast to most recently constructed chalets they are all exceptionally spacious. The larger rooms still contain only full size single beds and with bedside tables for everyone. When sharing these larger rooms nobody needs worry about bunks, sofa beds or pull-out beds! We understand how important personal space is and the need for a comfortable night's sleep in order to make the most of the next day. The chalet facilities are topped off by a less than exciting but highly practical guest laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing equipment, separate from our main laundry room and solely for your use!

Chalet Chery Des Meuniers | Catered Weeks with The Ski Gathering

Hearty meals prepared by a talented and helpful crew and using fresh local produce. We know how to refuel hungry skiers after a day on the mountain! Your stay with us will include a varied buffet breakfast every day of the week with regular hot specials, unlimited hot drinks throughout the day, homemade afternoon cakes / biscuits every day and a 4-course evening meal (to include a cheese and biscuits with a glass of port) with wine or beer on 5 nights each week. Shorter catered stays will include one chalet night off and weekly stays include two nights on which we'd ask you to sample the excellent local restaurants.

Please note that any group bookings made directly or via third party websites such as booking.com are made on a self-catered basis or with the addition of delivered meals. Our traditional catered service described above relates solely to holidays booked under the banner of The Ski Gathering.

Our catering upgrades offer total convenience whether you simply want fresh bread and pastries each morning, or our Magic Meals Flexi-Catering upgrade with breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner delivered to the door.
