This beautiful 4-bedroom property in the village of Montriond sleeps 8 and is ideal for families or for groups of adults looking to get away from it all. The cable car at Ardent is just up the valley and from here you will be able to explore the snow sure slopes of big-hitting Avoriaz and Chatel as well as venturing further to the sunny and often-deserted pistes of the Swiss sector.
Chalet Le Vionnet can be found in a tranquil setting next to the Dranse river below the village of Montriond. For the ultimate flexibility we think it is a great spot for people with their own transport. There is private parking for 3 cars and plenty of additional outside space, perfect for little ones wishing to build a snowman or bigger ones wanting to relax with a cold glass of something on a suntrap terrace!
Once inside the chalet you will be pleasantly surprised at the top-quality renovation of what is a traditional building, and the open plan nature of the communal areas only adds to the sense of relaxation and conviviality. The first floor of the chalet is a fantastic sociable space with a sleek and well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge area with log burning stove and satellite TV, and a good-sized dining table around which you can enjoy a hearty dinner and swap stories from the ski day. A door on this same level leads out to a nice balcony and terrace as well as the 6 man hot tub in which you can enjoy stunning views in total privacy.
The ground floor contains a wide hallway in which to abandon outdoor shoes and jackets and a practical ski and boot storage room should you opt to store them at the chalet overnight. There is also a spacious master bedroom with a king size bed, ample storage and an ensuite shower room with WC. A practical laundry room and extra WC make up the remainder of the ground floor. The sociable spaces described above make up most of the first floor but you will also find a gorgeous bunk room with full size single beds. Children will love it but be prepared for a battle for the top bunk! This room will also sleep 2 adults. On the top floor of the chalet there are two further bright and airy twin bedrooms, both with private balconies. Finally, there is a spacious bathroom with WC, shower cubicle and a luxurious free-standing bath.

The local area is beautiful with stunning walking routes flanked by carpets of wild flowers. Less than half an hour away the shores of Lac Leman also offer fabulous summer activities.

The chalet is in a traditional and quiet area of the village of Montriond, 4km from the bright lights of Morzine and in its own spacious grounds. It is perfect for guests of all ages and the centre of Montriond does benefit from a couple of nice eateries as well as a lively bar with regular live music. For people with their own transport the biggest supermarket in the area is just a couple of minutes drive down the valley. Access to the full Portes du Soleil ski circuit is easy via the cable car at Ardent (just a 10 minute drive away and with ample free parking) or via the new free ski bus (see below).
For the coming winter a new ski bus route has been introduced, with the nearest stop just a short 2 - 3 minute walk from the chalet and taking around 15 minutes to Ardent. From Ardent you can avoid the queues of Avoriaz and access its impressive high-altitude slopes via the back door, or bypass Avoriaz all together on your way to Chatel or the often deserted Swiss sector. The same bus route can be caught in the opposite direction towards Morzine and with a connection in Montriond you can access the Super Morzine gondola, the swimming pool or the town centre.
