The wellness suite is very welcome after clocking up the miles around the fabulous Matterhorn Ski Paradise and the best bars and restaurants in resort are a hop, skip and a jump away.
Zermatt is our regular haunt for an end of season trip and this gorgeous car-free resort in the shadow of the mighty Matterhorn never ceases to amaze.
The slopes are so reliable and the skiing at almost 4000m on the Klein Matterhorn glacier will literally take your breath away. Over the other side of the hill and on the same lift pass is the Italian resort of Cervinia, and this is also blessed with plenty of long cruisy runs. Between the two resorts the Matterhorn Ski Paradise has over 400km of terrain to explore and skiing is possible on the glacier 365 days a year!
In the town we have stayed in several hotels but always return to the Antika for its helpful service, town centre location and charming rooms. The wellness suite with sauna, sanarium, steam bath and infra-red seating is a joy at the end of a long day on the slopes. Everywhere is accessible on foot from here and with the hotel operating on a bed and breakfast board basis we will be able to suggest many excellent restaurants within a stone's throw.
