Introducing our newest addition, Chalet Le Prele! This beautifully designed and spacious chalet occupies a peaceful position a short distance from the centre of Morzine, with a free ski bus stop just a few seconds from the door. For 2024/25 it will be our main Morzine base for The Ski Gathering and we are excited to host our holidays in what we think is an absolute cracker of a chalet.
Chalet Le Prele is available for a few select weeks this coming winter on a sole occupancy catered basis. It sleeps up to 12 people comfortably and is offered with our trademark extra-mile service and flexible approach to chalet holidays.

Chalet Le Prele | Description

Our discovery of this chalet came about by pure chance but it certainly feels as though luck was on our side! To find a chalet that is both modern and traditional, spacious and yet cosy in an enviable location was a real coup. We can't imagine many nicer chalets to come home to after a hard day on the mountain and when you add in our catered chalet service and friendly team members it is sure to be a winner. The 5 bedrooms comfortably sleep 12 guests and the communal spaces are a cut above many other chalets we have visited. Outside the chalet there is plenty of parking space, views to die for and a nice private hot tub to soak away the aches and pains!

With convenient links to the skiing on both sides of the valley (Avoriaz and Morzine), tranquil surroundings and the old town of Morzine a short 10-12 minute walk away this chalet is perfect for everyone from beginners to powder hounds and from lovers of peace and quiet to party animals! Guests on our Ski Gathering trips will love both the facilities and the flexibility in arrival and departure times. With clear gaps in the diary between holidays we can offer early access on arrival day and the use of your room until late afternoon if you wish to ski on your departure day.

As you enter the chalet at street level you can immediately get rid of your skis and put your boots on the dryer before entering the main chalet. On this same floor we have 3 of the 5 bedrooms, configured as a triple and two twins, all with their well-designed walk-in wardrobe spaces and spacious ensuite shower and WC. We have deliberately opted for all individual beds so as to accommodate our solo traveller guests in comfort.

Up on the first floor there is one further twin bedroom, again with a beautiful spacious Italian style shower and walk-in wardrobe, as well as the bulk of the beautifully designed communal spaces. Chat to your hosts in the open plan kitchen / dining space whilst they prepare a hearty evening meal, thaw out around the magnificent log burning stove or nip out to the terrace on this level to enjoy the private hot tub that is at your disposal all week. Hot drinks are available all day every day and by 6pm we will normally be tempting you with a glass of something stronger during our popular "Apero Hour" that we introduced back in 2019. Expect a varied selection during the week ranging from Kir Royale and Bellinis to mulled wine or a traditional Pastis de Marseille!

The top floor of the chalet has the final bedroom of the five, a spacious triple room. Whilst not technically ensuite there is a bathroom (with a shower over the bath) and separate WC next door for the use of guests on this floor. You'll also find another balcony with stunning views towards the slopes of Le Pleney and the tranquil wooded areas at the foot of the spectacular Ressachaux mountain. Lastly a cosy TV space with sumptuous sofas completes the top floor.

Chalet Le Prele | Description - Location

We love the location of this chalet as it is walkable to Morzine of an evening and convenient for the skiing by day. The best ski bus in the area stops just below the chalet and can take you in 5 minutes to the gentle local slopes of Morzine-Les Gets or to Prodains for the high-altitude slopes of Avoriaz 1800. Beyond there the wider Portes du Soleil awaits but we doubt you'll come close to seeing the whole 650km in a week!

Hearty meals prepared by a talented and helpful crew and using fresh local produce. We know how to refuel hungry skiers after a day on the mountain!

Our menus are designed by Sylvie and Consultant Chef Danny to bring a blend of uplifted classics, Belgian culinary treats and traditional Savoyard fare. To complete our winning formula we add tasty breakfast specials, homemade cakes and free-flowing wine!

As we constantly strive to improve the service we provide we have left gaps between Ski Gathering trips to allow our staff plenty of time to clean the chalet. This also means that;

you can check in as early as you wish on arrival day and check out as late as you wish on departure day.

You could ski 8 days instead of 6!

Sorry no pets are accepted in the accommodation. No smoking is permitted in the accommodation but there are outdoor spaces available for smoking.

Please note that our holidays operated under the banner of The Ski Gathering are only for guests aged 18+.
